ELSA Norway

The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Norway is one of 41 national groups in the world’s largest independent law students’ association. In total, ELSA consists of approximately 60 000 members from over 375 faculties and institutes in Europe. In Norway there are five local groups, which are located in Bergen, Kristiansand, Oslo, Stavanger, and Tromsø.

ELSA Norway, together with ELSA International have a vision of  “A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity”. Our aim is to contribute to broad legal knowledge and promote mutual understanding and social responsibility among law students and young lawyers. Furthermore, ELSA Norway contributes to communication and cooperation among Norwegian law students across the country, and to gives them international possibilities across borders.

Our local groups organize all types of events, like study trips, lectures, moot court competitions and parties. We also work with international students in particular, with programs like the international buddy week at some faculties.

Do you want to become active in ELSA, or attend our social events? Below are the websites for the local groups. It is also recommended to follow ELSA Norway, or your preferred local group, on Instagram.
