Legal English-kurs med ELSA Bergen<\/strong><\/p>\n

ELSA Bergen inviterer hvert \u00e5r til kurs i Legal English. Tilbudet er \u00e5pent for alle jusstudenter ved Universitetet i Bergen.<\/p>\n

Kurset holdes av Kevin Harris fra Acorn English Consultants, og det har tidligere v\u00e6rt holdt for flere kjente advokatfirmaer og p\u00e5 andre universiteter i Skandinavia. Mange advokatfirmaer savner kompetanse innen juridisk engelsk blant jurister, noe som gj\u00f8r kurset til et verdifullt tillegg i den juridiske utdannelsen din. Kurset har tidligere v\u00e6rt en stor suksess og plassene har blitt revet bort p\u00e5 minuttet!<\/p>\n

Kurset g\u00e5r over to dager og best\u00e5r av to deler: \u00abWriting Modern Legal English\u00bb og \u00abDrafting Contracts in Modern English\u00bb. Underveis i kurset blir det b\u00e5de foredrag og praktiske oppgaver. Form\u00e5let er \u00e5 gi en grunnleggende innf\u00f8ring i juridisk engelsk, noe som vil v\u00e6re sv\u00e6rt nyttig med tanke p\u00e5 utveksling og arbeidslivet senere.<\/p>\n

Det kreves ingen spesielle forkunnskaper innen juridisk engelsk for \u00e5 delta, og kurset passer for studenter p\u00e5 alle studie\u00e5r. Alle deltakerne mottar et kursbevis som kan legges ved CVen, betinget av fullt oppm\u00f8te begge dager.<\/p>\n

Course in Legal English with ELSA Bergen<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every year ELSA Bergen organises a course in Legal English. Every law student at the University of Bergen is welcome to attend.<\/p>\n

The course is held by Kevin Harris from Acorn English Consultants. The course has previously been held at several renowned law firms and universities across Scandinavia. A solid knowledge of legal English is a sought-after commodity at many law firms, which makes this course a great addition to your legal education. The course has previously been a great success, and the places available have been booked in a matter of minutes.<\/p>\n

The course will extend over two days and include two topics: \u00abWriting Modern Legal English\u00bb and \u00abDrafting Contracts in Modern English\u00bb. The course will consist of both lecturing and practical exercises. The objective is to give you an introduction to legal English, which will be highly relevant if you are planning on going abroad as an exchange student, and for your future career in general.<\/p>\n

No previous knowledge of the subject is required for attending, and the course is suitable for students from all years. All participants will receive a certificate which can be included in your CV, on condition of full attendance both days of the course.<\/p>\n
